Delivery & Returns

Plain-English answers, no small print surprises. Buying from a small boutique should feel just as safe as buying from a big one.

Delivery

  • UK postage is £3.99 per order, added at checkout so you always see the full cost before you pay.
  • Orders are carefully packed and posted as quickly as possible. If a piece needs a little longer, we will tell you before you order, not after.
  • Prefer to skip postage altogether? You are always welcome to visit the shop at 20 Market Hill, Woodbridge and take your piece home the same day.

Changed your mind?

No hard feelings, it happens. For online and distance orders (including orders placed by message) you have the legal right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

  • You can cancel your order any time from the moment you place it up to 14 days after the day you receive it.
  • Tell us you want to cancel by email, phone or message. A clear "I'd like to return this" is all it takes.
  • You then have a further 14 days to get the item back to us, by post or by dropping it into the shop.
  • We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the item back (or of you showing you have sent it), including the standard delivery cost you paid.
  • Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty. We recommend a tracked service, as the item is in your care until it reaches us.
  • Items should come back unworn, unwashed and with any tags attached. You are welcome to try a piece on as you would in the fitting room; we may reduce the refund if an item comes back used beyond that.

Exchanges

Want a different colour or size instead of a refund? Message us first and we will check what is on the rails. Because most pieces at Gigi's are one-off buys, exchanges depend on stock, which is exactly why we make refunds simple.

You can also bring any online order into the shop on Market Hill to exchange or try alternatives in person. Honestly, that is the fun way to do it.

Faulty items

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, everything we sell must be as described and of satisfactory quality. If something arrives faulty or not as described:

  • Within 30 days, you are entitled to a full refund, including return postage.
  • Tell us as soon as you spot the problem and we will sort it quickly, with no quibbling. A photo by message is usually the fastest way.

A few sensible exceptions

  • For hygiene reasons, earrings and similar pierced items cannot be returned unless faulty.
  • Items bought in the shop, where you have tried them on or had the chance to, are covered by our goodwill exchange rather than the distance-selling rules above. We are a small shop that wants you to love what you buy, so talk to us.
